Description
The historic old-town wall lantern from France, featuring a beautiful butterfly roof, projecting eaves, stylized air vents, and an impressive wall arm, is available entirely in aluminum with four painted finishes or with a solid brass lantern body and a black bishop’s crook arm.
The lantern, fitted with four clear glass panes, is handcrafted using the traditional folded-seam technique. This elaborate manufacturing method involves mechanically shaping metals by folding and bending their edges to increase strength while maintaining a relatively low weight.
The handcrafted outdoor wall light is protected against rain and splashing water from all directions, making it an ideal choice for historic façades, elegant residences, and architecturally refined outdoor areas.

Roger Pradier often does not rely on casting techniques for its outdoor lights, but instead uses folded sheet metal, mostly aluminium, but also brass or zinc. Folding is a sophisticated fabrication process in which metal sheets are mechanically bent and folded to significantly increase their strength and rigidity. The result is lighting fixtures that achieve the durability and stability of cast luminaires while using considerably less material and offering a much lower weight. The bulges and recesses created during the folding process also contribute positively to the authentic overall appearance of these traditionally crafted luminaires.
Some models are also manufactured from clear varnished brass, copper or raw zinc. The varnished aluminium models comprise various types of surfaces. Some are indicated with German RAL colors, whereas other color schemes do not allow for a standardized scale.
