Description
The exterior ceiling light with a curved shade “Mainz” is an original from the Bolich works, which have been handcrafting their classic-modern industrial luminaires for more than a century. It is perfectly suited for entrances and front doors, passageways, as well as covered balconies and terraces.
Bolich offers a comprehensive range of versions for this country-style luminaire. It is optionally available in antique-looking copper (raw, clear-lacquered, patinated, or flamed) or in powder-coated aluminium, with almost any colour from the RAL chart available. In addition to an opal globe, a cylindrical glass (clear or frosted) can also be supplied.
Materials:
- Powder-coated, corrosion-resistant aluminium in deep black, pure white, or other custom RAL colours, with a white-painted inner shade surface, or
- Untreated (raw), matt or gloss-lacquered aluminium, or
- Untreated (raw), matt or gloss-lacquered copper. The raw copper version develops a beautiful natural patina over time.
- As part of an Ebolicht special edition, all Bolich copper luminaires are also available in a pre-patinated copper finish. An example of this surface finish can be found here.
- Figure 3 shows a special model with a copper shade and aluminium ceiling element (on request).

Today this manufactory, named after its founder Eugen Bolich, still produces both high-quality and functional industrial fixtures, outdoor lamps and lighting for living spaces in classic design. All Bolich fixtures have a powder-coat finish. This high-quality baking varnish is by far more robust, durable and environmentally friendly than most conventional varnishes.
Material: powder-coated, stainless aluminium with white reflector finished in jet black, pure white or any other RAL color. Also in raw (unvarnished) aluminium or aluminium with matt or high-gloss finish resp. raw copper or copper with matt or high-gloss finish copper. The raw copper model gradually takes on a nice copper patina.
As a special Ebolicht edition we offer all Bolich copper lights also in patinated copper (here an example of this finish).
