Maritime Style Outdoor Hanging Lantern in Brass N° 699,
by
Andromeda
Description
The functional and weatherproof screwed suspension of this outdoor hanging lamp complements the elegant protective glass (deviating from the illustration: with structural grooves). This is screwed with a rubber seal, which means that the lamp is prepared for any weather (protection class IP53).
The outdoor lamp is made of solid cast brass and available with various brass surfaces as well as tin-plated and nickel-plated. The models with copper finishes are made of copper clad (rather than just electroplated) cast brass with a natural or patinated finish.
The surfaces are not sealed with clear lacquer and will take on a beautiful patina over the years.
Chrome-plated brass and colored powder coatings are available on request.
Chain length: If required, the light is also available with a longer chain, please contact us. However, it should be noted that the longer the chain, the more the lamp will sway in strong winds, which is why a rather short chain is generally recommended for outdoor use. The supplied chain can be shortened as desired.

About the manufacturer
* Please note: Since the manufacturer will be closed for three weeks in August, there may be a delay in the production and/or shipment of your order. Thank you.
Founded in 1966 by Christos Mazarakis, Andromeda is a Greek lighting manufacturer based in Megara, one of the oldest cities in Greece, with a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship. Originally developed as robust marine lights designed to withstand the demanding conditions at sea, these nautical luminaires soon gained recognition as high-quality outdoor lighting thanks to their exceptional durability and authentic aesthetic.
In the company’s own foundry, the lights are manufactured using traditional sand-casting techniques from solid brass and copper ingots, before being finished with distinctive patinated surfaces. Structured glass diffusers, such as Holophane or prismatic glass, are used to provide a pleasant, glare-free light distribution even with powerful light sources.
The high demands placed on marine lighting are also reflected in the robust rubber housing seals, which on many models are additionally secured with characteristic wing nuts. They ensure a high protection rating of up to IP64, providing reliable protection against dust and sealing the luminaires against splash water from all directions.
Upon request, the lights can be supplied in individual colour finishes.
