Description
This functional luminaire with a cut-off conical shade and single-tube wall arm, available in either a 90-degree (fig. 1) or 45-degree version, was originally developed for use in the railway infrastructure of Deutsche Bahn, where it served in particular for barrier and signal lighting. Its construction is consistently focused on functionality and durability, following the characteristic, utilitarian design language of technical infrastructure lighting.
The distinctive cut-off conical shade directs the light precisely in the desired direction, enabling accurate and well-controlled light distribution. At the same time, the geometry of the wall arm ensures a stable mounting position and a clearly defined beam orientation, providing reliable visibility even under demanding conditions.
Today, the luminaire is used as a reflector or projection light for façade and signage illumination. It is particularly well suited for the targeted lighting of signs, information panels, and architectural details, as well as for accentuating façade areas in public and commercial environments.
The combination of historically rooted functionality, technical clarity, and durable construction makes this luminaire a characteristic example of purpose-driven industrial lighting, whose design emerges directly from its original field of application.
Material: powder-coated, stainless aluminium with white reflector finished in jet black, pure white or any other RAL color. Also in raw (unvarnished) aluminium or aluminium with matt or high-gloss finish resp. raw copper or copper with matt or high-gloss finish. The raw copper fixture takes on a beautiful patina after some time. As a special Ebolicht edition we offer all Bolich copper lights also in patinated (aged) copper (here an example of this finish).

Please note: In the case of Bolich models in raw copper and patinated copper, the natural copper may be washed out, especially on the weather side, which can possibly leave traces on white walls.
