Small Victorian Style Exterior Hanging Lantern Made of Cast Iron and Galvanized Steel
by
Victorian Lanterns
Description
The small Victorian-style hanging lantern is made from cast iron and galvanized steel. Its compact size makes it ideal for entrances or covered terraces.
Cast-iron pendant lanterns from the 19th century continue to shape the character of many historic town centres throughout the English-speaking world and the countries bordering the North Sea. Their design has remained unchanged ever since: a four-pane lantern with a flat pyramidal roof, decorated with stylized palmettes, hangs from a steel chain with a canopy. The base of the lantern terminates in a multi-section ornamental finial.
The light is finished in classic black (RAL 9005) and fitted with clear glass. Other colours from the RAL colour range are also available on request. Please contact us for further information.

About the manufacturer
Our Victorian Lanterns are manufactured since 1983 in the family-owned business Harte in Wexford/Ireland. The manufacturer focuses on robust and durable outdoor lights made of cast iron and copper. Special attention is paid to careful painting so that the products can withstand the harshest weather conditions. From design to assembly and final check, all work is carried out in Ireland. The manufacturer can therefore offer a lifetime guarantee on all cast iron and steel elements against deformation or breakage under normal conditions.
In addition to Victorian-style lanterns, Harte’s collection includes substantial shade-style outdoor lights in early industrial and country house designs, classic globe lights for gardens and façades, robust harbour bollard lights, and cylindrical glass lanterns inspired by the Georgian era.
