Description
This timeless outdoor wall light is manufactured by the long-established German company Bolich, whose history dates back to the Bauhaus era of the 1920s. Created in a period when the Bauhaus movement revolutionized modern product design through its emphasis on functionality, craftsmanship, and clarity of form, the luminaire continues to embody these principles today. Its understated, pared-back design is guided entirely by purpose, making it a durable classic that transcends changing fashions.
The deep-drawn shade is still traditionally formed by hand on a metal spinning lathe—a highly skilled manufacturing process that demands considerable expertise and precision and is now mastered by only a handful of manufacturers. It directs the light downward to provide effective, glare-free illumination for front doors, entranceways, façades, and pathways around the home.
Like all Bolich luminaires, this model is individually made to order according to the customer's specifications. The result is an outdoor light that combines authentic Bauhaus heritage with German craftsmanship and a commitment to exceptional durability.
Bolich Leuchten: Tradition and progress – these characteristics shape the family-run company Bolichwerke from Baden-Wurttemberg since its foundation in 1911. Today this manufactory, named after its founder Eugen Bolich, still produces both high-quality and functional industrial fixtures, outdoor lamps and lighting for living spaces in classic design. All Bolich fixtures have a powder-coat finish. This high-quality baking varnish is by far more robust, durable and environmentally friendly than most conventional varnishes.
Material: powder-coated, stainless aluminium with white reflector finished in jet black, pure white or any other RAL color. Also in raw (unvarnished) aluminium or aluminium with matt or high-gloss finish resp. raw copper or copper with matt or high-gloss finish. The raw copper fixture takes on a beautiful patina after some time. As a special Ebolicht edition we offer all Bolich copper lights also in patinated (aged) copper (here an example of this finish).
For the copper models, the double-tube bracket (wall mount: Height 175 mm x Width 50 mm x Depth 40 mm) is made of aluminium and varnished in jet black. Other colors are available on request.

In principle, almost all brackets and shades can be combined. In order to receive a coherent appearance, we recommend that the bracket should at least have the same size as the reflector.

Since 1911 the family-owned company Bolich Leuchten, based in Baden, Germany, has been renowned for manufacturing high-quality lighting for both indoor and outdoor applications. Named after the company's founder, Eugen Bolich, the traditional Ebolicht collection comprises historic factory lights, country house luminaires, and outdoor lighting in a timeless Bauhaus-inspired design. Handcrafted from aluminium, copper, and genuine glass, these luminaires are distinguished by their clean lines, robust construction, and uncompromising focus on durability. Many models are also available in custom RAL colours to meet individual project requirements.
Whether for residential or commercial applications, we have worked closely with Bolich on numerous projects involving bespoke luminaires and tailored lighting solutions. We also feature a selection of fixtures that were developed as special editions or created to our own specifications. These include patinated copper luminaires and Bolich wall lights with a nostalgic corrugated wall plate.
Please note: In the case of Bolich models in raw copper and patinated copper, the natural copper may be washed out, especially on the weather side, which can possibly leave traces on white walls.
