What Is the Ideal Installation Height?
As a general guideline, the installation height is around 1.8 to 2.2 metres, depending on the type of light. In older buildings with higher ceilings and storeys, the fixture can be installed correspondingly higher.
The important thing is that the light sufficiently illuminates the entrance area while remaining as glare-free as possible.
How Much Distance Should There Be from the Front Door?
For an outdoor wall light installed beside the front door, a distance of approximately 20 to 30 centimetres from the door is generally recommended, provided the structural conditions allow it.
The exact position should also take into account the width of the door, the design of the façade, the shape of the light and its light distribution.
