From Royal Bavarian Court Supplier to Munich's Traditional Outdoor Lighting Manufacturer
Since as early as 1883, the small manufactory Münchener Laternen has been crafting exclusive artisanal decorative and everyday objects from copper, brass, and tombac in the Bavarian state capital. The family business received awards at numerous exhibitions and, at the time, held the title of Royal Bavarian Court Supplier.
Exquisite Outdoor Lights of Special Charm, Crafted by Hand
The small manufactory, now family-owned for four generations, produces, alongside indoor and outdoor lights, many other metal pieces for interior fittings and custom commissions, all in careful handwork. Using artisanal techniques that have become rare, the Munich workshop creates exquisite masterpieces of special charm. The primary raw materials are copper and brass, offered in a wide variety of light and dark patinas, as well as nickel-plated and chrome-plated finishes:

- Blackish-brown brass patina (gunmetal patina). You can see an example of a light with this finish here. Finish: waxed.

- All models available only in brass can, on request, also be made in copper for an additional charge. Chrome-plated or matte nickel-plated finishes are likewise possible, as are color lacquer finishes to the RAL color chart (please inquire).
Outdoor Lights in Copper and Brass, from Understated to Bavarian Baroque
Münchener Laternen offers a fairly compact range of outdoor lights in copper and brass, ranging from understated and functional to Bavarian Baroque, but the manufacturer specializes in custom work, so sizes and finishes that deviate from the standard models can also be arranged.
