Classic and Contemporary Outdoor Lights in Shades of Green
Green, in all its nuances, is a popular colour for outdoor lighting: both light and dark greens read as dignified yet organic, and harmonise well with many façade colours as well as brick and natural stone. The fact that front doors, shutters, and garden fences are often kept in green — with matching fixtures chosen to complement them — is another reason for the colour's popularity. Green path and pedestal lights also blend well into gardens or courtyards.
Popular Green Shades, Antique Finishes, and Patina
The most popular green shades for classic or contemporary outdoor lights are RAL 6005 Moss Green, RAL 6009 Fir Green, and RAL 6012 Black Green. For country houses, the lighter shades Light Green and Lime Green tend to harmonise particularly well. Most of our manufacturers offer green outdoor lights either as a standard colour or as a custom finish from the RAL Classic chart, which spans a total of 36 shades from RAL 6000 (Patina Green) to RAL 6038 (Bright Green). Many manufacturers apply the colour as a powder coating — a finishing process that produces a robust, weather-resistant protective layer.
Alongside these solid finishes, we also carry outdoor lights in appealing blended tones such as Antique Green or verdigris shades, which give the fixtures an aged appearance.

Outdoor Lights with a Naturally Green Surface
As mentioned above, it doesn't always have to be a painted finish — nature produces beautiful, sometimes striking shades of green all on its own. The look of many European cities with historic architecture, for instance, is often shaped by the verdigris on copper roofs that have weathered the elements for decades or even centuries.
Some of our workshop manufacturers craft their outdoor lights from brass and copper, finishing the surfaces at the factory with an authentic verdigris patina. Through special rusting and oxidation techniques, the metal surfaces develop a firm, non-toxic protective layer of copper carbonate, which permanently protects the fixture from corrosion.

Outdoor Lights in RAL and Antique Colours
Alongside shades of green, the most popular colours for outdoor lamps include jet black, pure white, slate grey, anthracite grey, graphite grey, micaceous iron oxide (DB 703), Bordeaux red and ruby red – as well as the so-called antique finishes offered by some manufacturers. These are artfully blended colour tones that imitate the surface of aged brass, aged copper, rust and similar materials.
